Riveting solutions

JHV riveting heads offer reliable and precise solutions for creating strong mechanical joints in series production. The portfolio includes both radial and orbital riveting heads, as well as cold forming using roll forming, covering a wide range of applications, materials and joint quality requirements. Thanks to in-house development capabilities and long-standing expertise, JHV solutions are designed with an emphasis on process stability, repeatability and easy integration into production lines.

Radial riveting

The radial riveting head operates on the principle of controlled radial deformation of the rivet, whereby the forming tool traces a precisely defined trajectory without rotating itself. This achieves uniform, gentle and highly repeatable forming of the rivet head.

Thanks to an optimised kinematic design and servo control, it is possible to achieve short cycle times whilst maintaining full control over the quality of the joint.

Orbital riveting

Orbital riveting uses an angled tool that rotates continuously, gradually forming the rivet material along a circular path. The material is formed gradually, without impact, resulting in a smooth rivet head and minimal stress on the joined parts.

Thanks to its controlled, continuous motion and optimised mechanics, orbital riveting enables short production cycles whilst achieving high quality, aesthetics and process stability of the joint.

Roll Forming

Roll forming technology works on the principle of gradually cold-forming the material using a sequence of precisely designed roller dies, which continuously guide and form the material into the desired profile. Each forming step is defined by the precise trajectory and geometry of the rollers, ensuring smooth, uniform and highly repeatable forming without the creation of unwanted stresses in the material.
