In the design and manufacturing of bowl feeders, we focus on maximizing reliability and performance. That’s why every product is tested on 40,000 cycles without microstop. Components that come into contact with screws have a special surface treatment for long-lasting durability. JHV bowl feeders provide high feeding performance for maximum machine productivity.
LOW NOISE AND AIR CONSUMPTION
Noise minimization is ensured through a soundproof cover, which is standard on every feeder. Additionally, we employ our own vibration control with a frequency and waveform optimized to minimize noise. For part orientation and sorting, we primarily utilize mechanical principles, avoiding the use of air jets. This not only conserves energy but also reduces operating costs.
Principle of function
From the hopper, the parts are fed into a bowl that orients the screws and exports them onto a linear rail. Each screw is then separated and shot into the feed hose.

Cleaning and measuring of the screw
In the cleaning module, the screw is cleared of dust and debris just before being fed into the screwdriving head. As this is a parallel process, cleaning does not extend the feeding time and can be used in applications with cycle times of under three seconds.
JHV screw measurement modules most commonly measure the screw length. This control prevents the possibility of mixing in a different types of screw and its use in the product. In addition to length, it is also possible to measure the head diameter, bit quality, presence of threads, and other screw parameters.
Camera orientation unit
In applications where it is not possible to orient the screw mechanically, we use the camera orientation unit. The actual orientation of the screw is detected by a camera just in front of the separator. Separator is than equiped with rotation unit that orients the screw in the desired direction.
Additionaly to orientation camera cen evaluate quality features of screw.
Pneumatic terminal (FESTO / SMC)
If needed, the feeder can be equipped with Festo or SMC pneumatic terminal. The specific type and variant of network communication can also be defined.
Input and output modules
In addition to the pneumatic terminal, the feeder can also be equiped with DI/DO modules. If a pneumatic terminal is also used, the connection of the feeder to the line consists only of the power supply, communication and compressed air.
ESD design of the feeder
The feeders can be built in the ESD version. In such case are ESD certified materials used in the necessary places. The feeders can then also be used for components susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharge.
Device frame
If the feeder is not integrated into the line, but is a stand-alone device, JHV supplies it on a aluminium frame with wheels to facilitate possible handling. The height of the frame can be defined by the customer.
Hopper - capacity according to your requirements
You can choose from the smallest 3 litre impact hopper, through 5, 10, 15, 20 litres pneumaticaly driven belt hopper up to big multilevel hopper with capacity 100 litres or more.
The belt drive can be pneumatic or electric and we can always help you choose the right hopper size.
The hopper can be equipped with a cover lock and in combination with a bar code reader prevent unintentional screw batches mixing.
